DATING EXPERTS SAY MOBILE SEARCH IS TOP TOOL FOR A TOASTY VALENTINE'S DAY

~ Survey Finds 80 Percent of 16-35 Year-Olds Plan To Celebrate Valentine's Day This Year and Nearly 20 Percent Will Ask that Special Someone Out via Mobile ~ ~

February 2011

(Redmond, WA, Monday, February 7, 2011) - Romance isn't the only thing heating up on Valentine's Day. Search engines like Bing.com are also aflame as Romeo's and Juliette's scramble to plan romantic dates or make last-minute purchases. This year, men and women can put their love affairs with their mobile phones to good use in their relationships too, by using their phones to choose a quiet restaurant, order a dozen roses or purchase gifts online.

Dating experts Olivia Baniuszewicz and Debra Goldstein say Bing for Mobile is a top tool for a successful Valentine's Day, because it's easy, convenient, and at your fingertips. No more excuses. Co-authors of the book Flirtexting, Debra Goldstein and Olivia Baniuszewicz teamed up with Bing for Valentine's Day this year.

In addition to offering a few tips for planning the perfect V-Day from the girls, Bing conducted a survey around peoples Valentine's Day plans. The survey found that 80 percent of 16-35 year-olds plan to celebrate Valentine's Day this year and nearly 20 percent will ask that special someone out via mobile.

Additionally, 70 percent of male respondents say they will be the ones to plan the day for their sweetheart. With the survey also finding that many men and women will wait until the day-of to schedule their plans, the flirtexting experts say Bing Mobile is sure to save many relationships this year.

Other findings from the survey include:

  • Men have a love affair with their phones. When it comes to date night, twice as many men will use their mobile phone to find the perfect romantic restaurant compared to women.

  • A romantic candlelight dinner tops the list as the perfect way to spend Valentine's Day.

  • Fourteen percent of single men ages 16-35 said they want to go out to meet single ladies this Valentine's Day.

To make the best use of time without having to search for a computer, the Flirtexting authors recommend using Bing for Mobile at m.bing.com to find nearby restaurants, movies, hotspots, and more for easy decision making.
