CONSUMERS TRADE-IN GIFT CARDS TO GET THE PC THEY REALLY WANT

December 2007

Redmond, WA - Gone are the days of unused gift cards. Those of who have received gift cards to less than desirable stores can now go online to several sites and swap gift cards for ones they actually want. According to The National Retail Foundation, nearly $26.3 billion will be spent this holiday season on gift cards alone. People who didn't get that laptop or PC that was at the top of their holiday wish list can now take advantage of post holiday sales with their new gift card to buy a computer that better fits their individual style.

Personalized products include:

  • The Sony Vaio CR, now available in a rainbow of colors and packed with entertainment and design extras. Start a post-holiday blog with one click or synch a music player, smart phone or other device to personalize the system.

  • Light-weight Dell XPS M1330 laptop sports a widescreen LCD display and features Windows Media Center.

  • Share holiday moments caught on video. Use Windows Movie Maker to blend videos and photos into a rich movie, complete with a soundtrack. Share with family and friends with the Windows DVD Maker.

  • Never miss an episode of your favorite show. Record, watch, and pause live television, and watch TV on your time with Windows Media Center.

Tech gurus are not alone in wanting a new PC this holiday season. Electronics are expected to generate $48.1 billion dollars in fourth quarter sales, according to the Consumer Electronics Foundation. Now with these new laptops and PCs consumers can combine updated technology with personal flair.
