SINCE 2003, THE FAMILIES AND WORK INSTITUTE HAS BEEN CONDUCTING AND SHARING RESEARCH ON WORKPLACE EFFECTIVENESS AND FLEXIBILITY THROUGH OUR "WHEN WORK WORKS" INITIATIVE. IN FACT, OUR RESEARCH SHOWS THAT DURING THE 2008-9 RECESSION, 81 PERCENT OF EMPLOYERS MAINTAINED THE WORKPLACE FLEXIBIITY THEY OFFERED, AND 13 PERCENT INCREASED IT.
