National Children's Study
September 2011
Stations, the following is
a news announcement. Suggested lead in 3, 2, 1…
(INTRO)
The National Children's Study
is currently looking for Chicago-area women, who are
pregnant or may become pregnant, to take part in an
important study about how things like family health
history, what children eat or the air they breathe,
influence children's health. Starting in October, teams
from the Greater Chicago Study Center will begin home
visits to gather key information - such as the dust
and water in people's homes.
Dr. Jane Holl, who leads the
study in Cook County, says that the greater Chicago
area is lucky to be one of 105 communities in the U.S.
chosen for this important study.
(HOLL)
BY JOINING THIS STUDY, WOMEN
CAN REALLY HELP US BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT THINGS IMPACT
CHILDREN'S HEALTH, RIGHT HERE IN CHICAGO AND ACROSS
THE COUNTRY. WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PREVENT CONDITIONS
LIKE ASTHMA, AUTISM, OBESITY, OR ADHD UNTIL WE FULLY
UNDERSTAND WHAT THINGS CONTRIBUTE TO THEM.
