(INTRO)
More than two million service
members have bravely served in the Iraq and Afghanistan
conflicts. The Real Warriors Campaign offers tools and
resources for service members who may be experiencing
invisible wounds, combat stress and thoughts of suicide.
During National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month,
the campaign encourages warriors and families coping
with invisible wounds to reach out for support.
Army Major Jeff Hall says
following his second deployment to Iraq, he began pushing
away his family and contemplated suicide, until his
commanding officer helped him get care for post-traumatic
stress; support that helped him maintain a successful
military career.

MY P-T-S-D ACTUALLY SNUCK
UP AND GRABBED HOLD OF ME WITHOUT ME KNOWING IT. I DO
BELIEVE THAT IT CAN BE DEFEATED. HOWEVER, I DO BELIEVE
THAT YOU CAN'T DO IT ON YOUR OWN. I DID IGNORE IT AND
IT CAME BACK TO ME TENFOLD. DON'T BE AFRAID TO COME
FORWARD IF YOU NEED ANY HELP.
