Blue Cross
and Blue Shield companies have developed a proposal
to address rising cost and improve quality by changing
the incentives in our healthcare system thus expanding
access. Premera Blue Cross in Washington state describes
the "Pathway to Covering America."
More than 14 million children have no place to go after
school. On October 18, more than a million people will
rally to support afterschool programs at 7,500 events
in the U.S. and at military bases around the world as
part of the eighth annual Lights On Afterschool.
